Whoops! Missed the Outdoor Cooking Guild Competition.

We've been a little busy and sure wish that we could have/ would have participated in the little competition among D.O. bloggers for the month of July.  But alas, we didn't.  Would have been great to do it too.  So, since we haven't been Dutch oven cooking, what have we been up to?

Apple Pie?  Well, these aren't quite apple pie... they are apple dumplings!  These little treats are to die for!!!!  And, not only that, they are as easy to make as they are good.  

Unfortunately, our 12" Dutch oven is a deep dutch oven so it takes a few more coals to cook things than a regular depth Dutch oven would need.
